Law 2088 of 2021 entered into force, as legal support and the necessary regulations to protect employment in exceptional circumstances such as the one currently generated as a result of the health emergency, creating the figure of work at home with the same rights and guarantees that include a working day (overtime, night work, Sundays, holidays, union negotiation, among others).
Employers and workers will be able to use the work from home modality for a period of up to three months, which may be extended until the circumstances that caused the exception disappear.
On the other hand, workers who earn up to two (2) SMMLV will receive the payment of transportation allowance as a connectivity allowance during the time they render their services under the work from home modality.
